What is the best way to insert the comapny heading logo on blank paper if you "opt" to do so other than a template? Maco? Styles?

I would add the logo as an AutoText entry. You give the entry a name and
recall it via a shortcut keyboard command or via menus. Below are
instructions on creating and recalling the autoentry:

Create An AutoText Entry
AutoText gives you the ability to name and store formatted text and
graphics. This stored information can easily be retrieved for placement in a
document without having to rekey the data. AutoText entries can contain any
type of formatting and can consist of one or more paragraphs, as well as an
entire page of information. Graphics can be clip art images or scanned
company logos that will be printed on letterhead.
Create An AutoText Entry:

1. Select existing text or graphics in the document that will be the
AutoText entry.
2. Click on the Insert Menu.
3. Point to AutoText.
4. Click on AutoText.
4. Type a name for the AutoText entry. (AutoText entry names can have
up to 32 characters, including spaces.)
5. Click on Add.

Insert AutoText Entries Into The Document
Once the AutoText entry has been created, it can be used in any document. It
is saved in Word until you delete it.
Insert an AutoText entry into a document using the menu:

1. Place the insertion point in the document where the AutoText entry
will be inserted.
2. Click on the Insert Menu.
3. Point to AutoText.
4. Click on AutoText.
5. Select the name of the AutoText entry to be inserted.
6. Click on Insert.

Insert an AutoText entry into a document by typing its name:

1. Place the insertion point in the document where the AutoText entry
will be inserted.
2. Type the name of the AutoText entry.
3. Press [F3].

Hope this idea helps.
