Word 2002 is slow

I have a problem. My Word 2002 is working very slowly. All functions are
slow or gets "stuck." I upgraded my Office XP (Professional) to SP3, but it
still is slow, and only in Word. My OS is Windows 2000. Any solutions (in
easy to understand language)? I would greatly appreciate it!
