Word 2002 Letterhead Templates

Hi everyone,
Hope this is the right place to ask my question. I did
lots of research but can't find the answer and hope that
someone here can help me.
I want to create a letterhead template using my own image
that schould go all across the top of the page, preferbly
without margins. There is a "Christmas Light" letterhead
template for download in the MS template section and it
looks like the picture was inserted in the header. Is
that possible? I could not find the option in the
header/footer toolbox. Does anyone know how to do this?
Or is there a tutorial somewhere.

Thank you so much for your reply. What a wealth of
information you have on your side. I read the letterhead
part several times but can't find the part which
explaints how to insert pictures in the header. Maybe I
misunderstand something. Do you actually open the header
part or do you use the text box or frame part for
pictures? I have no problem with text but never did a
picture or logo before. Could you help me again, please?

Just View | Header and Insert | Picture | From File as you would in the
document body. This will put the picture in the header. Depending on what
else you want there, you may need to send it behind text (by default it will
be inserted as "In Line with Text").

Suzanne,
Thank you so much for your help. It looks like it worked
and looks pretty good. There is one tiny problem
remaining and that is that the footer on the first page
is partially cut of at the bottom. A slight skimm but
noticable. I have the same footer info on page 2 & 3 and
they come out perfect. Could it have something to do
with the header image on the first page? Can you help
with that, too, please?
