Word 2002 mail merge multiple templates w/data source into one file:

I'm trying to use Word 2002 and VB6 to programatically merge MULTIPLE document templates into one single merged file(.doc).
It works fine for one template and one data source, but, I have several .dot files and multiple rows of data to merge using the .dot files. Again, I want to end up with one single document with all of the rows of data using different document templates.

Hi There,

You cannot have a single document attached to/based on many templates. You
can detach/reattach a document to many templates, but I do not see how this
will help you get the data from many data sources.
Also, I am not an expert in Database connections, but it seems to me that
having one single document connected to many data sources is asking for
trouble!

Not knowing the specifics and the kinds of trouble you have run into so far
(You just stated what you wanted to do, not what you has achieved so far and
what were the specifics of the hurdles you may have encountered so far), I
can maybe suggest that you cycle through all your templates, create on
temporary document form each one, then at the end, gather up all those
temporary documents and build the final document which could be based on a
single template of your choice, or simply based on Normal.dot.

Or, at the data source end, you could consolidate all of your data in one
data source.

Cheers!
