I'm trying to make labels using a mail merge in Word 2002,
but Word 2002 is not recognizing my Windows Address Book
as a Data Source. When I start 2002, it asks me to Select
a Data Source. When I select my address book as a data
source (I have to "All Files" under File Types because
otherwise my address book isn't listed in the selectable
files) and view the source, I get a bunch of random,
senseless characters and symbols instead of addresses.
What's up - why isn't Word 2002 allowing me to use my
Windows Address Book as a data source for mail merges?
FYI, I can partially work around this problem by exporting
my address book to a .cvs file and using that as a data
source, but it is very inconvenient to continually export
my address book into a comma, delimited file.
Thanks.
