Word 2002 - Pops up Save Now dialog box, then closes document

Word 2002
Every couple of minutes I get a Save Now Yes/No dialog box. If I
click Yes, it saves changes in the document and closes it. If I click
No, it doesn't save changes, but closes the document, anyway.

Allow Background saves is turned on, as is Save AutoRecover every 10
minutes.

Any idea how to turn off this very annoying Save dialog box that keeps
popping up?

I'm not aware of anything in Word 2002 (or any other version, for that
matter) that would do that. It sounds either like a macro virus or like an
add-on that's gone berserk. I suggest that you update your a/v software and
scan for viruses.
