I'm using Windows XP Pro SP1 with Word 2002 and if I have Word open for any
length of time, Word changes my System Effects. Word adds the Fade effect.
Display Properties | Appearance | Effects | Use the following transition
effects for menus and tooltips: Fade effect
I normally have nothing at all selected under Display Properties |
Appearance | Effects.
The only item I have selected under System Properties | Advanced tab |
Performance Options | Visual Effects is Use common tasks in folders.
I thought that there was a setting in Word | Tools | Options. Something
about use System settings or something close to that meaning. Maybe I am
thinking of Word 2000 because I cannot find this setting.
I have searched at all the Word MVP sites, Microsoft Office Assistance,
Search The Knowledge Base, Microsoft Word MVP FAQ Sites and Word Help.
I even did a Search for effects and appearance @
http://www.microsoft.com/office/com...a202&catlist=&dglist=&ptlist=&exp=&sloc=en-us
Ewwww, I hate CDO.
I give up. Anybody know where the setting is?
