Word 2002 Template

Jim

Hi,
I started playing with VBA. Prior to this, I would open Word and when I
clicked on File>New, I would get the Template screen with Blank/Web
Page/etc which is what I want. After using VBA, I open Word, click File>New
and get a panel screen on the right side of the monitor that says (top to
bottom) New Document with sub titles saying Open a Document, New, New from
Existing Document, New from Template, etc.
What did I do to change from the normal opening to get this new panel on
the screen? How do I get back to the normal way my screen was when I went
File>new.?? Thanks in advance,
Jim

From Word XP on, the default action of Word's builtin FileNew macro
is to bring up the "New Document" taskpane.

You can restore the FileNew dialog under the File | New menu by replacing
Word's builtin FileNew macro to read:

Sub FileNew()
Dialogs(wdDialogFileNew).Show
End Sub
