Word 2002 Will not Retain Toolbar Customization

No matter what we do one of our computers will not retain the toolbar
settings. I've tried the suggestions per the following MSKB, but no luck.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;291484

We've done:

-A re-installation of Office XP
-delete and re-setup user's profile
-created new normal.dot in a different location
-user has full control over the entire MS Office folders and obviously both
of the template locations.

Any ideas are greatly welcomed.

Is Adobe Acrobat 7.0 installed on the computer? If so, there is
a conflict between Acrobat 7.0 and Word that prevents Word from
automatically saving changes to the normal.dot template (which is
where toolbar customizations are stored). Customize the Word
toolbar button again, and click "Shift+File | Save All" to force
Word to save the normal.dot template.

"Shift+File | Save All" seems to save the settings for now. I'll see if the
problem comes or not in a few days.

Is there a way to remove the conflict? Thanks a lot. I love these forums
already!
