Word 2002

Windows 2000 SP 4
Word 2002

Error Signature:
AppName: winword.exe AppVer: 10.0.2627.0
ModName: ppdfaddin.dll
ModVer: 9.0.0.394 Offset: 00001cec

The above is what I keep getting when I exit Word. I have
sent this error messege to you several times but yet I
have not got a specific answer on how to correct it.
Also, I have started getting a "Visual Basic" error in
Word. How can I fix that?

One more thing: How can I disable an item in Word? When
I go into Word and click on "About", there is a box I
click on to see disabled items. If I could disable Visual
Basic, I think that would fix my second problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's not VB you need to disable but ppdfaddin.dll, whatever that is (I can't
find anything using Google except a previous thread in this NG about this
error message ["Error when exiting Word," on 2/13]). Use Windows Search to
find ppdfaddin.dll, then right-click on the file and choose Properties. If
there is a Version tab in the Properties dialog, you may be able to get some
information from it about what application this add-in belongs to. This will
help you decide whether to ditch it altogether or try to update it to work
with Word 2002.
