I hope this is the right newsgroup for my question; if not, I will
appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction!
Yeah, I know it's ancient, but for my purposes, Word 2002 (generally)
works fine. Recently my copy lost the ability to do envelopes, which is
a function I use often. I tried repairing it with the proper Works Suite
2004 CD that came with my Dell. That didn't work. Then I uninstalled it
and reinstalled. That seemed to work, but I could never find Word in the
program list. Nevertheless, if I click Control Panel/Add-Remove
Programs, it populates the list with Word, so I clicked 'repair' again.
I get the following error message:
Error 1919: error configuring ODBC data source: MS Access Database, ODBC
error 6: Component not found in the registry. Verify that the file MS
Access Database exists and that you can access it.
I know just enough not to mess with registry stuff. Am I doomed or is
there something I can do here? TIA!
