word 2002

For the past 6 months I have been trying to rename
global.dot bedause my word opens slowly and I usually get
an error message saying to rename this template.I also have
tried to download the Word 2002 support.exe file and it
will not open. This support is supposed to help fix my
problems. Does any one know a better link for the fixes I
need for Word 2002?

It's normal.dot, not global.dot. See
