word 2002

I have tried opening word 2002 and the program goes
through all the startups. However, my word document does
not appear. I have tried opening other files and they do
not open but they do appear in the taskbar.
I have tried uninstalling word and reinstalling, yet the
same problem exists.
I would appreciate any help.
