Any help?

I have copied a document from an article on the web that has a left margin
of 1" but the right edge of the page shows the page as a 7" page. I have
tried to stretch the right margin so it becomes a 8 1/2 width page to no
avail. The document is now 2 pages because of the page size. I have tried
to copy/paste to a new 8 1/2 page but that does not help. There are no hard
returns at the end of a line to remove.
If I could get it to stretch I could make it a 1 page article. It is
already size 8 font. How about it?

Well, he says there are "no hard returns at the end of a line to remove," so
perhaps the problem is that the whole thing is in a table? If so, Table |
Convert | Table to Text might help.

Hello, BertP, I have not noticed that your problem has been resolved. I am
having a similar problem, I think. All of my new Word documents, that are set
at "letter" size in page set up, are loading with the ruler showing a print
area of 6" x 8". The ruler allows for a one inch margin on either side. My
documents are printing to the upper left hand size of the page - and it
doesn't matter if I'm on my home computer station or my laptop. If I could
only fix the ruler???

In fact, the files I transferred from my laptop seem to have "infected" my
home station. I am very alarmed - and it's impossible to manage my business
when I am unable to work with or print a file correctly.

Any help out there? I've tried reset points. I've combed through every
formatting option.

It sounds like the "white space" has been suppressed at the top and bottom
of the pages. To turn it back on, place your mouse pointer either just below
the ruler (at the top of the page) or on a line between two pages, watch for
the mouse pointer to change so it appears as two pages with arrows, and
double-click.

If the document is printing in the upper left-hand corner, it could be a
markup issue instead.
