Word 2003 and Adobe Acrobat

Kevin

I am getting an error when opening any Office 2003 app
that warns me of an incompatibility with Acrobat 5.0 (full
version - not reader).

I have looked at the resources that are offered by both
Microsoft and Adobe and installed the Adobe update that is
supposed to correct the problem.

I am still getting the error message even with the proper
updates installed. Any help?

Thanks,
Kev

I have seen no hotfixes or updates from Microsoft for this
problem and have yet to find any.

Do you know the number of the hotfix?

Thanks,
Kev

I had the same problems - followed both Adobe's advice (a
5.05patch) and MS's article (don't know the #, but click
on "help" or "more information" or something like that on
the popup error box to launch to MS's site) and it still
didn't work.

Finally cured it when I erased the pdfmaker files for
word, excel, access, etc. - these will be .dot template
files and are located in the Office11 directory. Now I
don't have one-click PDF making access in all the MS
Office programs, but I can still print to a PDF. No more
popup errors, which is good.

Hope this helps.

I was hoping that I wouldn't have to do that, but hey - I don't think I ever used them anyway. I almost always printed to PDF anyhow so no big deal. Thanks!
