O
Office
We have very similar crashing problems between two Office machines. The 2003
version crashes multiple times per day for different reasons, sometimes when
you click the taskbar to bring word to the front word just disapears and
brings up an error reporting dialog box where we have submitted to microsoft
over and over again with no response or ways to identify the issue. Other
times word just crashes with a similar message and just disapears for no
appearant reason. When closing outlook 2003 (when using word as the email
editor or not) outlook will crash due to appearently the word issue. A second
machine with office xp is having very similar crashing issues where if an
email message was being read at the time of crash the email cannot be
reopened without rebooting the machine and starting over. Is there a way we
can log or start to see what is causing these issues??
Event viewer logs Application hang with event codes 1001 and 1002, .net
runtime event 0, and userenv event 1053.
A second type of crash is a dialog box with Microsoft Visual C++ runtime
library runtime error "this application has requested the runtime to
terminate it in an unusual way....
