word 2003, auto numbering from tool bar

Is anyone experiencing problems or know of any problems with auto numbering
in word 2003 when clicking on auto numbering word crashes and I need to
restart the application. This happens in a new document, old document, big
document or little document, does not matter what kind of document. I have
deleted the normal.dot file, recreated it and it still happens.... Help..my
users are having a fit.

Exit Word, and delete the List Gallery Presets key in the registry. Then
restart Word, and see if it behaves.
