word 2003 - bulleted list problems

When I have a bulleted list going, this is the first line:

• The "Menu" link takes the user to ???

and at the end of that line when I press ENTER, I get this line which
is NOT indented properly:

• The "Menu" link takes the user to ???

notice that the bullet is not indented at all, but the text is.

What's the solution?

Make sure neither of the WordPerfect options is checked on the General tab
of Tools | Options.
