Word 2003 cannot find my printer, other apps do.

No printer appears in my Word 2003 print dialogue. When I try the "Find
Printer" function, I receive a "Directory Services Unavailable" message.

All my other apps, even Excel 2003, print fine.

(I have a hard-wired home network.)
