I have a document (very complex, would not want to have to recreate!)
that was created in Word 2000 with lots of "fill-in" fields. When I
open it in Word 2003, my "padlock" icon is grayed out. I can choose
"Tools" and "Unprotect" and change the document, but it will not let
me reprotect the document. It wants me to choose some options before
reprotecting but even then, it will not "light-up" the button to
proceed. I know it is not specific to my computer, someone else used
my form on their computer (with Word 2003) and has the same problem. I
can open the document in Word 2000 and do whatever I want to and
reprotect it with no problem. Can anyone help so I don't have to spend
days recreating the form in Word 2003? Thanks
