Part I - The Problem
I had a very annoying problem with The Wörd 2003. When I copied text
from notepad (e.g.) and pasted it into a document, XP crashed. The only
thing I could see before a few secs crash after paste was that The
Wörd underlined (checked spelling) some parts of the pasted text. I
already had all the autocorrect options disabled but The Wörd still
wouldn't stop spell checking.
Part II - The Solution (i. The search ii. The relief)
i. I searched the Web for a solution and couldn't find one. There are
many discussions about copy/paste problems but none of them was equal
to what I had. I was surprised how much problems people have with The
Wörd.
ii. Then I found it: Tools -> Language -> Set Language...
I checked the "Do not check spelling or grammar" and Voilá - it is
WORKING!
Part III - The Conclusion
I can use The Wörd again without this annoying crash every time I
paste text into document. Seems like this is a bug because I already
disabled all spell checking but accidentally missed the Master Spell
Checking checkbox.
