Word 2003 crashes when switching between open docs

I'm using Windows XP Profession o/s and Word 2003 Professional (SP1). When I
have 2 or 3 documents open and switch from one doc to another doc by clicking
on the taskbar, Word crashes.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening.

Try this: Tools, options, view and clear the windows in
taskbar option. This might stop the crashing but it does
not address the issue of Word crashing when this option is
checked.
