This has happened repeatedly over the last 3 days - cannot get the document
completed.
Other documents do not cause a crash
Virus checker shows no problems

Since this is the only document that causes the crash, it's likely
that it's corrupted. See
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/CorruptDoc.htm for
troubleshooting procedures.

If that doesn't help, try working your way through the steps in
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm

In any case, the crashes will have left behind orphaned temp files,
which could themselves cause further problems. For that, see

This suggest a corrupt document. First, because you have had so many
crashes, the abandoned temp files may be causing a problem. See
http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm

Then try using the Open and Repair option on Word to see if that sorts out
the document. Open Word, go to File, Open and highlight the document: then
use Open and Repair by clicking the down arrow at the side of the OPEN
button and choose the required option.
