Word 2003 default save folder

Hello,

I'm having trouble with one machine running Windows XP and Office 2003.

I keep changing the Word default save folder to my users personal folder on
a network drive. It changes just fine, and the first time I go to open or
save a doc it opens to that folder, however, if I open a doc from a
different folder, close down Word, the next time I go to open a doc it will
open to the last folder that I was in, not the new default folder??? Anyone
seen this?

I'm running Server for small business 2003 on the server if that matters.

If you're using Word as your email editor for Outlook, then Word is not
really closing, I expect, so the changed location is being saved.

Suzanne, You rock! That did the trick! I couldn't find a thing on this
ANYWHERE on the internet.
