Anyone experiencing this one...?
Band new Dell Dimension with XP Pro.
I want to delete some text in Word 2003. I put the cursor on a spot in the
document and hit the Delete key a few times. Suddenly it deletes all text to
the right of that point. The "spelling and grammar" pencil icon at the
bottom of the screen starts scibbling furiously. The cursor line blinks
furiously and then I get the hourglass cursor. I have to do Ctrl-Atl-Del to
get it to stop. No specific error messages appear. Event log just says
that the application had a hangup.
Using the following with Word...Stedman's Smartype speedtyping software,
Stedman's Spellchecker software, brand new HP LJ 2420 printer.
Word does this about 3 times a day. Most of these documents were created
with Word 2002 or earlier.
It also has a new Microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard.
For the work we do on that PC, I cannot run it in safe mode because we must
have the spellchecker and add-ins. I hope to be able to try safe mode maybe
next weekend but it's not practical while it's being used for work.
Any suggestions?
