Word 2003 document opening

When I double click on a document to be opened, Word 2003 will open but with
nothing loaded, I have to click on the document again or go to File > Open to
open it in Word. Is this something Word 2003 does or is there some problem? I
don't get any error messages or anything. So I don't know why Word does this,
but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. ^^

Ok, well I went in and changed some of the switches at the end of the command
lines in File Types and got rid of most all the DDE garbage, that seems to
have fixed my problem, but my question is, why did I have to do this in the
first place? I just don't understand why switches and such would be put on a
file type that makes it not work correctly. Oh well anyway, problem solved.
