Word 2003, enable macro issue notification

Hello,

Platform XP Pro / SP3
Office 2003 Premium suite (all apps installed not all options selected
through the office setup add remove programs option)

The issue:
I have a small workgroup of 15 computers with office 2003 installed.
Each time Word is opened with the blank .doc theres a visual basic
notification, this doesnt occur in subsequent new .docs once word has
opened, just when initially opening each time via the shortcut etc...

The notification is headed "Visual Basic" and the notification itself
reads;

"Macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to online help or
documentation of the host application to determine how to enable
macros.

I have tried following the recommended help which didnt alter the
scenario, the security option for enabling macros. I tried setting it
to its lowest security which removes the popup..however the tutor for
this workgroup wants to use macros which she creates for training.

Also I dont want to leave the security this low, bearing in mind there
are students many of whom are new to computing.

There doesnt seem to be an option to add the macro from an accounting
package myob (mind your own business) to the trusted part of the macro
area the options are just shadowed and there seemingly is no add trusted
or similar. It doesnt seem to matter what permissions I set for any
account this popup occurs.

There was an option in the shared options for the office setup under
the repair or modify? in add remove programs that referred to visual
basic i selected this but it made no difference, I also tried a
reinstall using the office files still on the C:\ same thing. :(

Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike,

Your problem is most likely due to a faulty Add-in. Any likely candidates will be listed below 'Word Art' under
Tools|Customize|Toolbars. You could try repairing or uninstalling/reinstalling the parent applications.
