word 2003 error message

Windows XP/Word 2003: When I open an existing document, I'm now starting to
get the following error: "This document could not be registered. It will not
be possible to create links from other documents to this document (and the
path to this open document)."

Try this. Choose Start - Run. Type "services.msc" (sans quotes) and press
Enter. This should open the Services control window. Click to sort by name,
and look for DCOM Server Process Launcher. If it's not running, then
right-click it and choose Start, and see if that fixes the problem.
