Word 2003, Excel 2003, Powerpoint 2003, and Outlook 2003 installed
Access 97 installed
When opening a multipage Word 2003 document an error is returned that the
file is corrupt or in an incorrect format. Computer is able to open single
page Word 2003 document. Able to reproduce error on any machine that had
Office 97 installed previously. Removing Office 97 completely and installing
Office 2003 did not solve issue. Must have Access 97 installed because of
internal program.
Renamed the normal.dot file and checked file associations. Occurs under any
user profile. All users are local administrators to the computer. Computer
is able to open a multipage Word Document that was created in Word 97, but
not multipage Word documents that are created in Word 2003.
Any ideas why this issue is occuring?
