Word 2003 extra HTML code

M

MB

I have been using Word 97 to open attachments which I then save as HTML and
open in Dreamweaver. This works well, with a bare minimum of tags. I cannot
figure out any way to save documents in Word 2003 without adding a bunch of
unnecessary HTML. I tried saving as Single Page web file, using Dreamweaver's
Clean up Word HTML feature, etc., but I'm always left with extra code. Is
there any solution?

Have you tried changing the settings in Tools/Options/General/Web options?

Also, there used to be an HTML filter tool. I think you can still d/l it from
microsoft.com. If you don't have Word 2000 installed it won't install. But you
can still extract it and run it directly (it doesn't require a registry entry or
anything like that).
