Word 2003 Freezes XP Pro Laptop Only with Large Files

After a varying period of time, Word will freeze the laptop thus no error
messages or any control. This only happens on 3MB+ files. It can happen from
5 to 20 minutes after open the files. The PC is up-to-date with all patches,
Norton 2005 is happy with the file structure and many other utilities find
nothing wrong with the Compaq laptop that can pre-buldled with XP Pro.

Disable the Office Plug-in option in Norton Anti Virus. Uninstall the Speech
Recognition software in Windows.
