Word 2003 freezing consistently - what to do?

I'm having a problem with Word 2003. I'll load a document and it will seem
like things are OK. Then I'll click on the down button next to the font
lists in order to change fonts, and Word 2003 will lock up. All other
programs are fine. Any idea how I can repair this?

Taking a guess - either too many fonts or a corrupt font.
Go to www.microsoft.com/downloads/ and search for powertoys in keyword.
Assuming you're running Windows XP - Select Windows XP Powertoys -
Read disclaimer - instructions, etc. then select

TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Download and install according to instructions.
Run TweakUI and select repair.
Then select repair font folder.
Hopefully this will solve your problem
