Word 2003 getting slower and slower

G

GuardianWill

Word 2003 is still opening slow. I had tried Normal.DOT and the Hkey changes
and at first wow, it looks like it is fixed but running it a few times it
seems to slow back to its normal foreverness to open (load) and exiting. If
I go back and make the deletions it speeds up again. But I do not think that
I should have to do this each time. Need help Please.
Thanks and God Bless...

P.S. I do not have a Network Printer either...

See #3 at http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm.

Do you have any Add-Ins? You wouldn't necessarily know.

Hi Charles, The only Add In per say is AntST.dot/ Dont know much about it
but all other display boxes show to be empty. Nothing more. Hope this gives
you some fresh ideas to help me ;)

If the Add-In is in your Word StartUp folder, try moving it to a different
location (with Word closed). If it is a COM Add-In try uninstalling the
program that put it there.
