Word 2003 hangs

Word hangs for about 10-30 seconds everytime I click on the dropdown combo
box from the "Open Document" dialog box.

If you have any unavailable mapped drives then disconnect them. The
hang you are encountering is due to Word searching for the unavailable
drives.
