Word 2003 Header Problem - major pain in the ass

T

The Figurehead

I have a 200 page document I have been working on, with three
sections. The headers/footers in sections 2 & 3 are the same. Today,
the headers decided to change their size, individually, within each
section. Some headers are 0.2", some are 2.44" and others go the
length of the whole page. I have not been able to change them in any
way. If I try to get the large ones smaller than 1.5", they jump to
the size of the whole diocument.

If I use the header/footer controls, it just ignores me and puts them
around 1.5". And they continue to stay different within the same
section, even when I command it to make all the headers within the
documetn the same.

Does anyone have any clue as to why?

I reverted back to Word 2k, updated & saved, and it does not help in
any way, either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, since there is nothing in MS
that hints to problems wtih Word 2003.

On the Layout tab of Page Setup, make sure that vertical alignment is set to
Top and not Center.
