Word 2003 Headers don't print

MS Office Word 2003. Headers used to print. Now they don't. Have tried on
three different printers. Have re-installed Office Word 2003. Have done
troubleshooting. XP Word, headers print. In Word 2003, headers appear in
"Print View," but they don't print. They don't print either with or without
footers. When I installed HP Photosmart 7350 last week (with an updated
driver), they printed on previous document, but now they won't print on new
document. No way I can afford $50 tech support. Please help.

Do you get paid for your work? Then why do you expect other people to
work for you without pay?

No, I most definitely do not get paid for my work. I live on $790 per month
for absolutely everything. I think this is a truly egregious and most
unhelpful response.

Moreover (who how I detest "Garfield"--a vicious cartoon strip), if you think
I have to be stupid for having an income of less than $800 per month and
surviving thereon, I challenge you to do it, for years at a time,
garfield-n-odie. Perhaps it's time you learned something about compassion
for the disabled. That's what our dear S.S. keeps the disabled surviving on,
and even less for many.

To me, that seems like a whole lot of free money every month for doing
nothing. That's at least $790 more free money per month than I get.
What is truly egregious is your expecting even more free stuff on top of
that. To think this is where my taxes are going... how depressing.

If your header contains graphics or text boxes, then in Word click on
Tools | Options | Print tab | check the "Drawing objects" box | OK. If
that doesn't help, then see
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/BottomsDontPrint.htm for
another possible explanation. If that doesn't help either, then say
something intelligent and sans irrelevant editorial comments about what
it is in the header that is not printing.

When you say they appear in "Print View," I'm guessing you're referring to
Print Layout view. Do they also appear in Print Preview? That's the acid
test. If they don't, then you have somewhere to start with troubleshooting.
My guess is that perhaps they've somehow become formatted as Hidden, or
perhaps they're in a text box and you don't have "Drawing objects" checked
on the Print tab of Tools | Options. There must be *some* difference between
the documents where they print and those where they don't.

Footers, on the other hand, are a different situation, often covered by the
information at http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/BottomsDontPrint.htm
