Word 2003 - How to stop barcodes displaying and printing?

Word 2003 document has a footer with address and phone number. Document is
shared from file server & is ok except on one workstation where it previews
and prints with barcodes above the digits in the footer. There doesn't appear
to be add-in software. Problem occurs for any user on this particular w/s.
Any ideas please?

You say 'Previews and Prints'... Are you also saying that it is only in
Print Preview but not in other views? If that is the case, then the obvious
commonality between different users logging in and getting the problem is
the printer driver. Check the printer settings under Windows, Start,
Printers.

Thanks for your reply, however we have solved this. The w/s didn't have the
correct font installed for the footer. Now we have installed the font it
works fine.

I could understand that being the problem IF the barcode font was being
substituted for another font. But that would mean that some data was changed
and missing in the footer and you never mentioned that. You only said that a
barcode was appearing, not that anything was missing or changed.
