Word 2003 insert picture from file error

When I try to insert a picture from a file in Word 2003, it freezes and then
pops up a dialog box sayin "Word has encountered a problem and needs to
close, sorry for the inconvienience and then asks me to send an error report
to microsoft. I have no idea why this error is occuring?

I'm having the same problem on there machines on a small network. I used 2003
on an older P4 box without problem, but just have upgraded to a newer
machine, and now I can't insert a picture into either Publisher or Word.

Help!?

Check both the printer and graphics drivers to see if they are the latest
versions and then reinstall them.
