Hi.

I have a problem with Word 2003.
When i try to type croatian characters as first characters in a new document
or as first characters in a cell they are not typed. If I type any other
character, like space for example, before croatian characters they show, and
from that point on there is no problem. After that I can delete leading
non-croatina character.
I have turndo off all autocorrect and spelling options and it does not help.
Everithing works fine in Excell or any other part of Wiondows XP Prof SP 2.
I have installed SP2 for office 2003 and office2003-KB907417-FullFile-ENU.
I have reinstalled Office.

Please help.

Can you try setting Croatian as your default editing language and see if it
helps?
1) Start->Programs->Microsoft Office->Microsoft Office Tools->Microsoft
Office Language Settings. At the bottom of the Enabled Languages tab, there
should be a dropdown list for "Choose the language that defines the default
behavior..."

2) After doing that and restarting Word, go to Tools->Language->Set language
and select Croatian. Uncheck the box for "Detect Language Automatically".
If you usually write in Croatian, click the "Default..." button to set
Croatian as your default editing language.

Does the problem still happen after doing these?
