I have a macro that I use at work, strips unnecessary information out of a
txt file and adds date, that crashes Word 2007. It was created in a previous
version of Word, not sure which but around 2002. It worked in Word 2003 and
after a recent upgrade to 2007 it works on 2 coworkers computers but not on 3
others, mine included. We are all running Windows XP Professional and should
otherwise have identical software.
When the txt file is opened, I select the macro. It begins to run but then
freezes up. The hourglass pops and will not go away. You have to shut down
Word and then when it restarts if you choose to reopen the document you were
working on, the macro worked. So it works, it just crashes the application
and requires a restart.
Any suggestions or additional questions to help troubleshoot the problem?
Thanks
