Word 2003 Mail Merge.

Since upgrading to Office 2003 I have been unable to import an Excell
database in to Word mail merge. After importing the data, the first label
will show information but the remaining labels are blank. If I print the
labels all are blank. This worked fine in Word 2000.

Has anyone else discovered this problem? What should I look at to fix it?

After you create the layout/content for a single label, you have to copy the
layout to all the other labels in the page. It sounds as if you haven't done
that.

To do it, if you are using the Mail Merge Wizard, in Step 4 of 6 in the
Wizard, click the Update all Labels button. If you have enabled the
Mailmerge Toolbar - recommended, although it works somewhat differently from
the one in Word 2000 - click the "propagate labels" button just to the left
of the "go to first record" button (|<). If you happen to be working on a
Tablet PC, the chances are that neither of these options works properly.

Thanks, we were doing the update but it turned ut to be a conflict with the
way Excell creates the list. If the Create list does not show the columns
vice individual names in mail merge then the labels will not update.
