word 2003 mail merge

is there a quick easy way to do a mail merge when using a word template that
automatically opens an excel spreadsheet? what if i only want to pick one
record from the spreasheet to merge?

Hi Michelle,
You have landed in the Word group, but there's a good chance the answer
is the same.
Tools > Data Merge manager > Query Options
then fill in what you need from

In Word 2003, open the mail merge doc then go to Tools>Letters &
Mailings>Mail Merge. On the Mail Merge Task Pane confirm you are on Step #3
of 6, then click the link "Edit Recipient List..." which produces a Mail
Merge Recipient dialog. You should be able to take it from there:)
