When marking the citations in a legal document using the Table of Authorities
feature in Word 2003, sometimes the short citation will be marked and
sometimes it is not.
For example:
Smith v. Jones, 2XX U.S. 134, 145-46 (19XX) (This is the long citation)
Smith is the short citation in the document and Smith was entered in the
Short Citation text box in the Mark Citation dialog box.
Word will add the TOA code to some of the short citations but not for all.
Why does it mark some and not all?
Thanks for your help!
