word 2003 Markup/Track Changes

Richard

I have just upgraded to MS Word 2003.

I have one document that has has some pretty extensive changes (using
Word 2000). When I open this docujment in 2003 the default is with
the Markup orTrack Changes on. i.e. you can see absolutely every
change that has ever happened to that document.

While I am aware thtat I can chose View/Markup off when I went to fax
this document (using a fax driver) all the edits in the docuemnt i.e.
(such and such deleted on othis date at this time) came out and it was
embarrassing to say the list.

Also, every time I open this document, the markup or track changes
shows up by default - regardless of whether I had changed the
View/Markup to off.

Can someone help me and explain what is going on here?

Thanks.

After going through previous steps it seems that I need to accept or
reject all changes, so that track changes will stop being marked as
needing to be "marked up". However, my Track Changes feature is
greyed out and the option to either accept or reject changes is also
disabled.

Any ideas.

Anyone?

Ah!!

Just found out I had to unprotect the document in order for Track
Changes to be available/ enabled to me. Then accepted all changes to
the document and the feature is working okay again.
