I'm working with a scanned 32 page doc that has a 7 level outline.
The 2nd level requires multi-number format: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc. I'm having
a devil of a time getting the Bullet/Numbering function to work with me on
this. It prefers to put the 2nd level number 1.1, 2.1, 3.1, etc. Each
level has its own style.
If I try to "force" the numbers through the Bullet Numbering function it
kicks back -- changing all previous 2nd level numbers to the "forced" number;
or, it will jump forward 2 or 3 numbers.
I've read the help file on Multiple outline numbers on a single line, but
that has been all but useless.
I've also tried "clear formatting" and Note Pad to clear formatting before
inserting into the document, with no success -- it seems to have it's own
mind on this.
Anyone with a solution, suggestion or some help?
