Hi All,
We are using a windows Terminal 2003. When the users open Word; there's a
message popup saying that "Word has detected a problem with the existing
Normal.dot. Would you like to create a new nomal.dot. If they click on yes,
or no; it creates a temp Normal.dot. The next time they open Word, it will
works fine. They closed Word and reopen every other time and the same message
appear again. We checked on the Event Log and see this error messages:
Event ID 2001: Rejected Safe Mode action : Microsoft Office Word.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
We even deleted the old user profiles and recreated the user with new
profiles that didn't make a different. It seems to use some other normal.dot
somewhere instead of the default one for each user. We looked on Microsoft
Technet and found articles on how to replace the Normal.dot but it still
doesn't fix the problem. We also think this is happening after we install
the Adove Acrobat 8.0 Pro retail version. We even uninstall and reinstall
the Adobe Application and did all the updated recommended by them.
Does anyone have this same problem and a solution for this problem.
Thank you all in advance.
