Word 2003 not saving / overwriting

Sometime after October 24, 2008 my Word 2003 will not save and overwrite a
file to the hard disk. It will do it to a flash drive, but not disk. Also, I
can use "save as" to save a new file, but it will not allowing any
overwriting. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Sounds like either an anti virus problem or a system permissions problem. I
suggest checking weith your AV support first.

I run Zone Alarm, and scan weekly, and I know this started between October
24th and Thanksgiving.

Could you elaborate more on the "systems permission"? I don't know what that
means. Thank you.
