WORD 2003 Option Tabs Missing Info

J

John

When I open ANY WORD document, go to Tools/Options, all the tabs are there,
but NO information is in any of the tabs. View, Edit, User Information, etc
are all there, but the information to edit is not...??? Any clues? I have
uninstalled and reinstalled Office, and get the same issue. Thanks in
advance, John.

Probably a damaged Word 2003 data key in the Windows registry.
Close Word 2003, start regedit, and rename the
"\\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Data"
key. Word will automatically create a new data key when you
restart it.

If that doesn't fix the problem, then try working through the
troubleshooting steps at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProblemsStartingWord.htm .

Apparently Matrox Drivers and/or utilities can cause this. Make sure you
have the latest Matrox display drivers and maybe close Matrox2Go or Matrox
PowerDesk SE if you are using them.

Thank you very much. The issue was actually with Matrox video software for
dual monitors. Removing it resolved the issue. John
