Hi,
I have setup a windows 2003 terminal server cluster of 7 servers, each of
the servers has 555 printers (copied with printmig) we have installed office
2003 on the terminal server but when we open word and select file / print it
takes between 40 seconds to over 2 minutes to come back with the print dialog
box (default printers have been set to try and speed things up, but to no
avail)
Conversely if we open excel and select file / print the print dialog box
comes up pretty much instantly
We have installed windows updates including printer drivers, the majority of
the printers are using post script drivers (rather than pcl)
This project was an upgrade from windows 2000 terminal server with office
2000 which didn't suffer the same problem; I intend to test with office 2007
but wondered if anyone had any good ideas??
Many thanks in advance
Simon
