Word 2003 problems

Hi,

I can not open any .doc's with Word 2003. I keep getting "The file [name of
file].doc is not available."

Also, every time I shut down Outlook 2003, I get the following notice:

"The file normal.dot already exists. Do you want to replace the existing
file?"

When I press "NO," I get the save as dialog box. When I press "Cancel," Word
starts. When I close it, I get the same message. When I press "Yes," nothing
further happens.

Can anybody offer any help?
